L.B Photography is a custom experience tailored to your personality. My photography is about capturing
the real emotion of the moment. The variety I offer of studio and location gives you, the client, a range of
options to create the right portrait for you. My style of photography relies very little on props. I keep it
simple yet creative. I use both natural light and studio light.
My interest started like most artist; with my family. I was continually taking photos of my children, family and
friends. My desire to create beautiful, sharp, emotional, quality images helped me decide to take it to the next
level. I began working hands on with a talented photographer assisting with mainly wedding and family portraits. I
thrived on learning more. I enrolled in college courses to learn the more “technical side” of photography. Creativity
comes within and I don’t believe can be taught from books, but the technical side was important for me to cover all aspects
of photography. I continue to involve myself in seminars all over the state and take part in photographer associations. I
am a member of National Photoshop Users (NAPP) and Detroit Professional Photographers. Constantly I am learning something new
about photography and will continue to learn through self teaching and continued education.
My life outside the photography business includes me being a mom and wife! I have two awesome, active children. Devan and
Sydnee. They keep me busy with their gymnastics, basketball, baseball...the list goes on and on! I am active with school events
and PTO. I also take part in helping at my husband’s stone masonry company. As a family we enjoy gong out to eat, watching all
Detroit Sports and college sports (GO BLUE!), taking vacations and playing with our super cool pugs, Moe and Tyson. I love
decorating and re-decorating my house, I love collecting quotes and someday would love to publish a book with my images and favorite
quotations. I enjoy taking long walks, shopping, and socializing with "girl friends". I surround myself with great family and
friends. I love to laugh and just be! That is where I draw my creativity!
